What advice would you give to women who don’t feel like they should celebrate Father’s Day if their fathers aren’t involved?
A father is truly needed in a child’s life. For those ladies that are separated or divorced, my advice would be, regardless of the circumstances between you and that man, if he is kept away from the child, at the end of the day, the child is the one that gets hurt. We need to stop that. We need to make sure that children get that love and wisdom that only fathers can give.
What is the biggest lesson that you as a father want to impart to your sons and your daughter?
For my sons, I want them to be able to provide. As they grow, I want to see them being able to one day be a provider and protector for their families. I think it’s important for men to be able to see themselves in that role. Being a father to a daughter, I want to be that model that she looks for and experiences how she is supposed to be treated.
