How does following your spiritual values help you in life?
Without my belief in God and my faith, I would be absolutely nothing. My faith and spiritual values have kept me grounded and helped me keep everything in perspective. I’m confident all things are possible if I put my mind to it, have faith and believe.
What is one of the fondest memories you’ve experienced with your father?
I had a great father. Though my parents divorced when I was a young child, my dad was always involved in my life. While I have many fond memories of him, the one that stands out most was after I purchased my first home. There was a small tree I needed removed. When I mentioned it to him, he said “man I’m going to come over there and take care of it for you.” I recall when he finished, sitting there drenched in sweat, but beaming with pride and accomplishment because he had completed something that was important to his son. I have never forgotten that moment in time. It made an indelible impression on me as a man and as a father. He passed away approximately two year later.
