Ludacris and Gunna reflect on Atlanta’s contributions to hip-hop (video)

Gunna went on to reminisce about his high school days when Ludacris would come to Atlanta for his Luda Day Weekends. The “Ski” rapper said that he took heed to how an artist should move after making it and referenced the importance of paying it forward.

“When I was in school, I remember him coming back to the southside and speaking and giving back,” Gunna recounted. “That’s what you do when you get your money. That’s what you do when people support you. That alone, I was a fan of you already from then.”

Ludacris then got nostalgic, saying, “I remember putting up like 20 families for like a good six months for them to get back on their feet ’cause they had lost everything. Whatever is going on, when I see my people are in need the most, that’s what Luda Day Weekend concentrates on.”
