Ashley Fouyolle’s UNWRP teams with Sprite for Black-owned holiday gift wrap

Why is it important for your brand to be inclusive?

I’m really just trying to show that inclusivity should be the norm. If you walk down the stationary aisle, you know that you’ll never see something that’s a reflection of you. I want to make sure that I am shaking up the industry and letting them know that inclusion should be the first thing and not necessarily design. I’m making sure all of my consumers feel represented and seen. I made sure that my designs were literal representations of them. I have one of my fabric wraps and some people may see it as a basic cheetah print. If you look closely, it is women with different Afro hairstyles.

Tell is about your recent success with Sprite.

I was granted the lovely opportunity to partner with Sprite to collaborate on a custom-designed gift wrap. The launch of their Winter Spiced Cranberry drink is a holiday-themed drink that comes out every year. This year, we wanted to spice it up a little bit with a custom gift wrap that people can actually give and express their joys for the holiday season.

How will people be able to access this gift wrap?

This gift wrap is a surprise and delight. Stay tune[ed] on social media and also sign up for notifications on Sprite.com. That will give you the opportunity to own a piece of this wrapping paper. This holiday season, I’m definitely going out and meeting family once again, giving them big hugs and cuddling. Last year, we didn’t have that opportunity. So, I’m making it my best efforts to do it this year, and spreading a little joy with Sprite as well.
