On Tuesday, November 9, WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers) teamed up with celebrated Black chefs and restauranteurs to host the “Live The Life You Love” dinner party and wellness experience at Vinateria restaurant, located in Harlem. NY. Vinateria restaurant owner, Yvette Leeper-Bueno, along with renowned restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson (Harlem Eat Up), curated an exclusive dining experience that included a mix of guests that were inclusive of Black restaurant owners, Black women WW coaches, Taraji P Henson, influencers, New York socialites and more.
Hallmark Mahogany was one of the sponsors of the event, and as the company is on a journey from being a greetings card brand to a lifestyle brand, it felt like a natural fit for them to partner with WW for the elegant, invite-only dinner party. Their partnership centers around Hallmark Mahogany‘s concerted efforts and investment in cross-generational Black women and the moments and motivations that move “her”. Alexis Kerr, VP Mahogany Brand, attended the private event, along with Nicole Daniels (Marketing Manager, Mahogany) and Sophia Aladenoye (Brand Strategist, Mahogany).
“As Hallmark Mahogany continually focuses on ways to appreciate, acknowledge, and affirm “her,” we recognize how important health and wellness is to “her” overall well-being.” Kerr said to Rolling Out when asked about their partnership with WW. “As mental, emotional and physical health continues to rise in importance on a global scale, it just made sense for Hallmark Mahogany to partner with WW on its first live event of 2021 that directly centered around Black women,” Kerr went on to say.
Brooke Ellis, vice president marketing and multicultural engagement at WW, provided opening remarks and welcomed attendees to the event. The exquisitely decorated soiree kicked off with a welcome Cuvée Rose´ champagne provided by Black-owed ‘Stuyvesant Champagne’.
