NFL running back Le’Veon Bell has joined a growing chorus of boxing fans who are tired of watching media darling Jake Paul pummel pseudo-professional pugilists.
Bell said he is unimpressed with Paul flexing hard on the national stage after delivering another destruction to an opponent who can’t box and is considerably smaller than him. Tyron Woodley is shorter and weighs less than Paul at 5-9 and 189 pounds and it showed as he thundered hard face-first to the canvas.

“Look at what I just did,” Paul bragged after putting his last opponent to sleep with a wicked right-hand power punch in the sixth round. “Look at the year I just had. Unprecedented. One of the most valuable boxers in this sport. Four fights. Four massive pay-per-views in 13 months. I’ve knocked out every single person that I’ve fought.”
Bell basically called Paul out publicly and demands that he take on someone of his own size. At 6-1, Bell is just as tall as Paul and is 30 pounds heavier at 225 pounds. And Bell let Paul know that he’s not scared.
I’m tired of watching him out box ppl who don’t even wanna box…if he wanna boxing match, a real one, he’d fight me…period, stop fightin small dudes who can’t box https://t.co/EaxEBbJFR9

Bell is reportedly a skilled boxer. According to ESPN, Bell, who was once the NFL’s most feared ball carrier with the Pittsburgh Steelers, took up boxing in 2020 as a way to get back in shape after dealing with a string of debilitating injuries. Bell was last with the Baltimore Ravens and is now an unsigned free agent, but the publication states that he is “in phenomenal shape” because of his boxing regimen.
It remains to be seen if Paul will take up the challenge and join Bell in the ring.
