Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a domestic violence call on Jan. 1, 2022, in Temple City, California, at about 7:15 a.m.
Deputies found a 27-year old woman shot multiple times inside the house and a 28-year old man who appeared to have a self-inflicted head wound.
On Jan. 3, the man was identified as J $tash, a Florida rapper, and the woman was his girlfriend, Jeanette Gallegos.
The police said that the two were having an argument before the rapper took the girlfriend into the master bedroom. Gallegos’ three children, all boys, were in front of the door knocking, as they were worried about their mother’s safety. The boys were not physically hurt.
The three children then left the home after calling 911. It is not clear yet if the call was made before or after Gallegos was shot. The rapper was not related to the three boys.
“Right now, the evidence at the scene and the preliminary information we have from the children in the home is that it’s a murder-suicide,” Los Angeles county Lt. Derrick Alfred told KTLA News.
