A”Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is taking some incoming fire after encouraging her cast mates to wear vibrating panties to a Broadway play about Black men.
During the latest episode of the hit Bravo reality show, Kandi Burruss and the others took in the play Thoughts of a Colored Man in New York that centers on the lives of seven African American males finding their way in Brooklyn.
Burruss, 44, was able to get some of her fellow stars to wear the freaky panties, but others adamantly declined.
Marlo Hampton and Kenya Moore, in particular, were not down with Burruss’ request to wear the panties.
“I’m not going to wear vibrating panties around other people’s men. My va jay jay is closed for business on this trip,” Moore, 51, said in a confessional.
“Is this Eyes Wide Shut all of the sudden?” Moore added in the confessional, referring to the 1999 erotic psychological thriller starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. “Did I miss the part where they were passing out masks at the door?”
Fans were quick to lash out at Burruss.
“I still don’t understand why Kandi want the women wearing vibrating panties to a play about black men’s trauma #RHOA,” one fan tweeted.
Another chimed in, “I feel like Kandi should respect people when they tell her that the sex stuff is too much instead of shaming them for not being as open is she is. The ‘loosen up’ ‘you need some play’ rebuttal [sic] every time someone expresses their discomfort is borderline predatory. Idc #RHOA.”
“Yep, she really should respect other people’s boundaries, even when she doesn’t understand/agree with them. The ‘no judgment’ zone around sex goes both ways,” a third person opined.
Burruss felt the heat enough that she explained on Twitter that she was using the vibrating panties as a humorous way to prevent any arguing while the women were at the play.
I told them not to use it while we were in the play of course. The game was supposed to be- anytime someone said something shady or started arguing then you hit the remote for the vibration to start. It was supposed to be a funny way to stop folks from arguing. #RHOA https://t.co/hAmThvybny

Kandi, it was inappropriate. They’re all married men there. You’re giving your husband a visual of another woman. Trust me, your setting up your marriage for failure. I’ve been married 15 years. He should only be thinking about u.
