It looks like Sesame Place isn’t the only one ignoring Black children.
On July 31, a mother tweeted that her daughter had been racially discriminated against at a Chuck E. Cheese in New Jersey. She also posted a video showing the encounter.
PLEASE RETWEET‼️ On July 30 at Chuck E Cheese in Wayne, NJ, my 2yo was racially discriminated against. As you can see, he gives all of the yt kids hi-5s & PURPOSELY ignored my black baby. When confronted, he ignored me as well. The manager, Angie Valasquez, made excuses for him.. pic.twitter.com/QMmE3wmti1

“On July 30 at Chuck E Cheese in Wayne, NJ, my 2yo was racially discriminated against,” the mother tweeted.
The video shows the character looking down at the Black girl, but he turns around and doesn’t acknowledge her.
More parents have started to show videos of their children being snubbed by people in costumes, and it originated on July 17, when a video went viral of two Black girls waving at a Sesame Place character before being ignored.
