When Chevrolet first rolled out the midsize SUV Traverse in 2008, they intended it to be a practical vehicle. Fast- forward to the 2023 Traverse High Country AWD, and there is no difference. By no means is the Traverse the largest SUV in Chevrolet’s lineup, it sits between the Blazer and Tahoe according in size, but nonetheless, its spacious third row for adult passengers as well as ample cargo space makes it ideal for large family outings or off-road adventures.

Chevy has made the Traverse with a refined exterior as well as added a host of luxury features inside. This year, Chevy offers up new exterior colors: Radiant Red Tintcoat (extra cost) and Sterling Gray Metallic.  The High Country trim features a luscious Black Cherry exterior.


The Traverse High Country is loaded. From its LED headlamps, daytime running lamps and taillamps  to the simplicity of wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, this SUV looks good.  Also available is hands-free power liftgate  and power-folding, heated outside mirrors, and Smart Slide second-row seat.

From the front seat all the way to the third row, there is comfort for up to eight passengers. Besides sitting in the driver’s seat, this reviewer also explored the back cabin seating and found it suitable for the average size adult.


Besides generous space inside the Traverse,  it is a comfortable ride both as a driver and passenger. Chevy also offers a good offering of technology in the car.  Starting with the most important there are ample USB ports throughout the car with two upfront, second row and you will also find ports available on the third row. Other noteworthy standard  tech features include Chevrolet infotainment system with 7-inch diagonal color touchscreen. Other featured options include 8-inch-diagonal system and system with Connected Navigation, Wi-Fi Hotspot capability,  Amazon Alexa Built-In capability, Wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility.

The 2023 Chevy Traverse High Country AWD has much to offer the family on the go or the individual who loves an SUV. From its spacious seating to it comfort of driving, the Traverse is a midsize SUV worth considering.
