The brewing animosity between Offset and J. Prince has heated up by multiple degrees of intensity.

J. Prince was interwoven into Takeoff’s tragic shooting death when the music boss made inflammatory remarks while being interviewed on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast.

J. Prince came to the defense of his son, J. Prince Jr., after a video went viral showing J Prince Jr. casually walking past Takeoff’s dying and bloodied body right after being shot on Nov. 1, 2022, in downtown Houston. Throngs of Black Twitter users wondered aloud why J. Prince Jr. did not try to render aid and walked by a seriously wounded person as if he were discarded trash.

In the process of defending his son’s actions, J. Prince lit into Offset and issued a not-so-subtle threat.

The Rap-A-Lot Records mogul alleges that Offset and Takeoff were not close before he died anyway, and he doesn’t appreciate that J. Prince’s family is being fingered for not protecting Takeoff and Quavo while they were on J. Prince’s turf in Houston.

“Don’t ever put me in a position to where I need to defend myself,” J. Prince warned Offset on the podcast. “That wouldn’t be healthy for you.”

J. Prince elaborated on what he meant.

“This Offset dude. I ain’t gon’ leave him out because I’m real like this, you now? N—-s be throwin’ rocks and hidin’ their hand. And the truth of the matter is, one can dance and different things in front of different cameras and all kinds of s—,” J. Prince said. “You wasn’t really right there with Takeoff when he was alive. So, for you to be taking these positions you are taking – and I got people everywhere, so I hear all kinds of things. I’mma just say this to you – don’t ever put me in a position where I got to defend myself.”

J. Prince also claims that he saved Offset — and his wife Cardi B, for that matter — from numerous beefs in the past and therefore Offset should show more respect to him.

Offset fired back at J. Prince, saying on Twitter that “Street n—a turn, never needed you for no smoke,” Offset said. “U da police, all mouth with no proof, just fairy tales. Let this be the last time we speak on this.”

Offset also went off on J. Prince and his people in a 45-second Twitter tirade.

J. Prince, however, definitely wanted to continue to speak on the matter and did so via a long note to Offset on his Instagram page.

“I’m glad I’m not one of those individuals that my family has to hold their head down when my name is mentioned. So, excuse me while I deal with these clowns because ain’t nobody gonna tell them the truth like I’m a give it to them.”
