The weekend is here and it’s time to lay back and catch up on some of your favorite shows. While you’re at it, thee are a number of new shows to look out for that are streaming, including some you’ll be able to catch on weekdays. Here is a look at a few shows to look forward to for the summer lineup.

Essence Festival Encore


This isn’t your regular television show, but if you missed any of the concerts from last week, Hulu posted the live stream of all three days. The concert included performances from artists such as Lil Wayne, Megan Thee Stallion, Lauryn Hill, Doug E. Fresh, Ice Cube, Gucci Mane, T.I., and many more.

“Anthem”

“Anthem” premiered on Hulu and follows acclaimed composer Kris Bowers and Grammy-winning music producer Dahi as they take a musical journey across America to create a new sound, inspired by what our country’s national anthem might be if written today. Peter Nicks is director and producer, along with  Kris Bowers, Sean Havey, Chris L. Jenkins, and Ryan Coogler. 

“Celebrity Family Feud” Season 9 premiere

Steve Harvey knows how to keep his audience entertained, and “Family Feud” continues to be the show that millions of viewers turn to for competition and comedy. There’s no stopping Harvey, and with season 9 premiering on Hulu, people won’t have to worry about commercials stopping the flow of the show.

NBA 2K24 Summer League

All 30 NBA teams will be in Las Vegas to participate in the NBA 2K24 Summer League tournament. The games will feature mostly NBA rookies and sophomores, as well as other players looking to find their way on a professional team in the future. The games start on July 7 and will end on July 17, and fans will have a chance to watch on NBA TV and ESPN.
