Media mogul 50 Cent is now the suspect in a criminal battery investigation after violently throwing a mic into the crowd and striking a Los Angeles radio show host.
According to multiple outlets, coupled with the plethora of videos posted online, 50 Cent was performing at his Final Lap tour stop in downtown L.A. when a few of his microphones failed to work.
The “Power” and “BMF” producer, who is winding down his music career, grew visibly frustrated with the nonworking mics. The first time he threw the mic, he simply flung it harmlessly into the first row. However, when Fifty got ahold of a second mic and it also malfunctioned, he hauled back and threw it like a baseball into the crowd, striking Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain in the forehead.
Below is another angle of the episode showing the mic being launched like a missile into the throngs of music fans.
Unfortunately, Monegain sustained a significant head injury that clearly drew blood. She was taken from the Crypto.com Arena and transported to a hospital where she was outfitted with a bandage.

According to TMZ, a traumatized Monegain filed a report with the Los Angeles Police Department, claiming that Curtis Jackson deliberately threw the mic at her.
Monegain stated in the report that 50 Cent looked right at her before aiming the microphone at her. The report does not say what could have precipitated Fifty’s alleged anger at the radio personality.
Fifty has yet to publicly respond to the investigation. He did, however, indicate to his 30 million Instagram followers that his son loved the show.
“My LA show was SIRE approved, he said man that was crazy! My little man could feel the love,” he penned in the captions.
