Mercy Miller, the 4-star senior guard and University of Houston signee, scored 68 points in Notre Dame’s 104-44 win over Oakwood on Dec. 11. The 68 points were the most a Notre Dame player has scored in a single game in the school’s history. The team’s point guard Angelino Mark dished out 20 assists in the effort, which was also a school record.

“Lord, have Mercy!!!” Jack Pollon, a former high school basketball coach and current freelance basketball writer, posted on X, formerly known as Twittter.

Master P also reacted to the performance on his Instagram.

“THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL!” Master P’s caption read. “He is one of the purest shooting guards in the country.”

“I saw Mercy after his 10th-grade season at a tournament in Houston,” Houston men’s basketball head coach Kelvin Sampson said, according to the school’s announcement of Miller’s signing. “I was impressed with the way he made shots but also his unselfishness. Mercy is serious about his game. He wants to be the best player he can be. He comes from a family of high achievers. Mercy understands what our culture is, and he wants to be a part of it. Those kids usually succeed here. We are really excited about bringing Mercy here.”
