Halle Bailey inadvertently incited a social media frenzy when a viral video seemed to confirm to many fans that she was pregnant and that she secretly had the baby.
Bailey, 23, who is one-half of the R&B duo Chloe x Halle with sister Chloe, 25, posted a video showing her and her beau, rapper DDG, making cookies for the Christmas holiday.
But it was when Bailey got up from her chair in the video — and even more so the special care she exercised in rising to her feet — that made many fans believe that the infant she was supposedly carrying had already arrived in secret.

Bailey has been hounded for most of 2023 by fans who are convinced that she was expecting a child. The rumors went into overdrive when, while out walking with her boyfriend in October, the paparazzi captured photos of Bailey sporting baggy pants and an oversized sweatshirt — yet it looked like she was also sporting a protruding belly.
Nevertheless, both Bailey and DDG have repeatedly and categorically denied that she was expecting a child and nothing they’ve said recently has countered that stance.
