Patrick Mahomes Sr. doesn’t want any part of the “Swifties” when he watches his son play against the Baltimore Ravens in the NFC Championship game on Jan. 28.

In an interview with WFAN Sports, Mahomes Sr. said he’d be in attendance to watch his son play, and when asked if he’d be sitting with Swift, who is Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, he had three words to say.

“I hope not,” Mahomes Sr. said in a joking manner. “No, I don’t think so. Travis normally has his own thing and Patrick has his own deal too. … I imagine if Taylor wants her own suite, she’s got enough money to get whichever one she wants.”

Mahomes Sr. went viral last week on social media when the Kansas City Chiefs played the Buffalo Bills. After Mahomes threw a touchdown pass to Kelce, the camera panned to the suite where Swift and Mahomes’ wife were sitting, and it looked like they were having a good time.

Mahomes’ dad, who was in the same suite, was seen in the corner of the video turning around and looking at the two women, and many suspected that he was annoyed by their antics.

Though he may not want to sit with her, Mahomes Sr. described Swift as a down-to-earth person in the interview. Swift and Kelce’s relationship has been in the spotlight all season, and there’s no question that spotlight will continue to grow if the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl.
