Athletes are known to train their bodies consistently so they can perform in their respective sports to the best of their abilities. They may all have the same workouts, but specific sets may mean more to others depending on what their sport requires them to use the most.
For football players, they’re always using their legs and arm strength, but it’s what they do after the game that could make the biggest difference.
Players from the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs gave similar answers about which workouts helps them succeed after the game.
San Francisco 49ers’ Javon Hargrave shared a great workout that he does following the game.
“I used to jump rope a lot,” Hargrave said. “I used to want to get my feet right and be real coordinated. I definitely did the heavy jump rope.”
As a wide receiver, the way you move your feet means everything. Kansas City Chiefs’ Kadarius Toney makes sure to stick to that script for his workout routine.
“Stay up on your footwork,” Toney said. “You can’t do anything without your feet.”
Chiefs’ offensive tackles Chukwuebuka Godrick and Prince Tea Wanogho also shared what they do to stay in shape, including the food they prefer to eat.
“If you’re a football player, the glutes,” Wanogho said. “You can’t forget the glutes and your legs.”
“Trust your technique and stay consistent, and eat good too,” Goodrick said. “Eat some Nigerian food.”
