Internet sleuths are always on their unpaid investigative prowl — this time discovering that controversial couple Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Another indication in the social media age that a couple might have broken up is the fact that both Larsa and Marcus have erased all images of one another from their respective IG pages, according to TMZ.
In late 2023, Marcus told the paparazzi that he and Larsa were planning to get married. This was going down despite the age difference — Marcus is 33, and Larsa will turn 50 in July 2024 — and the obvious connection to the famous former teammates of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
Marcus Jordan is the son of Michael Jordan, who is widely considered the greatest NBA player ever. Larsa Pippen is the ex-wife of MJ’s teammate Scottie Pippen; together the Pippens have four grown children. The delicate situation was exacerbated when Scottie wrote a book in 2023, where he excoriated Michael on multiple fronts. Scottie called Michael a bad teammate and claimed he was a more important figure in the Chicago Bulls dynasty than Michael gave him credit for.
As of Feb. 12, neither Larsa nor Marcus have commented publicly on the status of their relationship. But Marcus did post a cryptic message on IG, asking on Super Bowl Sunday, “Should your friends unfollow your ex?”
Meanwhile, Marcus showed himself hanging with his legendary father while watching Super Bowl LVIII at an undisclosed location. That’s the third indication that something might be awry when a couple is not together for one of the world’s most-watched sports spectacles.
