Peter Thomas, a former star on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” said the landlord that successfully sued him for $9 million will “never see a dime” of the money owed.
Thomas, former husband of ex-RHOA star Cynthia Bailey has been ordered to pay the mammoth amount of money after the landlord, DTS DT Retail, successfully argued to a judge that Thomas breached his lease agreements for his restaurants, Bar One Miami Beach and 1 Society.
The proud Jamaican-born businessman remains defiant. He promises to fight the ruling and vows that DTS DT Retail will not receive any compensation from him.
“I’m going to win. They’ll never see a dime,” he told his 500K Instagram followers.
Peter Thomas vows to launch legal counteroffensive
According to documents obtained by RadarOnline, DTS DT Retail alleged that restaurants had accumulated substantial rent arrears and refused to pay down on them. Moreover, the second high-end restaurant, 1 Society, never opened its doors.
Thomas counters the landlord’s claim, saying the property owner failed to provide adequate access to the premises, which justified his non-compliance with the lease terms. Because of this, Thomas is preparing to launch a legal counteroffensive against the landlord.
