Sinbad is thankful.

The legendary comedian shared his first message to everyone after making his first public appearance since suffering a stroke in October 2020. Sinbad appeared in a Zoom video at Morehouse College during “A Different World’s” recent reunion on the campus. Sinbad’s appreciation video started with him watching the clip where the audience erupted in applause to see the star virtually present at the event.

“Man, that was so cool,” Sinbad said. “‘A Different World’ going to Atlanta, going to Morehouse College on the campuses. Getting a chance to be on the Zoom and say something…it’s wild the kids even know who I am. That’s beautiful.”

Sinbad also had a cameo in FX’s “Atlanta” during the fourth season of the popular TV series created by Donald Glover. He appeared on the show playing himself in a mockumentary episode “The Goof Who Sat by the Door” about Thomas Washington, a Black man who accidentally became the CEO of Disney and made A Goofy Movie the Blackest movie ever.

In his latest video, Sinbad said he appreciates all the positive comments and stories he’s heard and read.

“Thank you to everybody who’s been praying for me, saying good things and supporting me during this time in my life,” he said. “It means a lot to me. Thank you so much. God has been with us, and he’s carried me. Well, he’s carried me through my whole life, and it means so much when I hear from y’all. You tell, ‘Keep going, Sinbad. We’re sending prayers. My family’s praying for you. Those words are important, and I feel it.”
