DC Young Fly is opening up about some of the emotions he’s going through in the aftermath of the death of his partner and the mother of his three children, Jacky Oh, due to complications from a BBL procedure last June.

While sitting down with Cam Newton, the 31-year-old actor and comedian was asked if he looked at “bodily procedures” differently since Jacky’s death. After pausing to collect himself, DC confirmed that he does have a different perspective and that men have to tell their women that they’re beautiful more and women should “listen to their men.”

“I get why women want to enhance themselves, but fellas, we have to do more on just continuously telling our women that they’re beautiful,” the 85 South comedian said. “We have to continuously tell them that they’re gorgeous. Don’t make your woman feel like she has to go do something–even if you f—— with another chick… you just love a woman–that’s it.”

“And women, listen to your man,” he continued. “Even with that going on, this is what I’m reminded of every day. If you look at it, bro, the women [and] the rate of the BBLs…if you look at the women today, it’s a lot of women who have BBLs when you go outside. So I’m constantly reminded [of Jacky’s death], like, they [survived]. There go another big booty… She made it. Go in the club, oh, these m—–f—— in here made it.”

The Candy Cane Lane actor wants to be clear that he’s not telling others how to live but to be prepared for all possible results.

“I’m not going to sit here and tell somebody don’t do what they want to do,” Young Fly emphasized. “But if you got a woman just continuously to tell her that she’s gorgeous, continuously to tell her that she’s beautiful, and whatever happens after that, it happens. People make decisions as a unit; you have to live with that as a unit. I can’t sit here and say, ‘I’m against nothing. Oh, I’m with it!’ As a unit, I took a loss.”

DC Young Fly is currently on the “We Them Ones” comedy tour with Chico Bean, Karlous Miller, DeRay Davis, Lil Duval, and Mike Epps.
