Raptress Nicki Minaj was arrested at the international airport in Amsterdam for allegedly packing drug paraphernalia in her luggage, the media reports.
Minaj, 41, was on her way from the Netherlands to Manchester, England, when the police descended on the scene and demanded to check Minaj’s luggage. When officers reportedly found marijuana they arrested the platinum-selling artist on “suspicion of exporting soft drugs,” according to NBC News.
The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, which is the Dutch national police agency, explained that Minaj was apprehended and taken to the station for processing. She was then released to continue to her British destination.
“After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey,” the tweet concluded.
Minaj railed on X that there was a conspiracy by her former employees to sabotage her concert appearance in Great Britain.
