What Caitlin Clark enjoys most about her 1st season in the WNBA

The viral star sees positives in journey

Caitlin Clark has evolved into one of the more polarizing names in all of sports. Clark is the primary reason why the Atlanta Dream‘s home game against the Indiana Fever brought out 17,575 fans on June 21. Before the game, Clark spoke to Atlanta media, including rolling out about her experience so far.

Through your first 16 games, what has been your favorite part about the WNBA, basketball-wise?

That’s a good question.  … Every single night is another opportunity to enjoy this crowd, enjoy the environment, and have a lot of fun playing basketball. There are so many people who would want to be in my shoes or be in our team’s shoes. For me, that’s what’s so cool.

Have you had that “Welcome to the WNBA” moment?

Honestly, I’ve been popped on a couple screens. I actually ruptured my eardrum when we were in New York on a tough screen. So if I had to pick one right now, it’d probably be that. Great screen, I just didn’t hear [the warning from a teammate]. So it’s kind of my own fault, but yeah.
