Cardi B has reached the point of no return in her divorce proceedings from her estranged husband Offset.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Cardi B is asking the court to have the former Migos member provide child support for their two children and a reported third one that is on the way.
Cardi B indicated the reason for the divorce is deeper than the cheating rumors
People magazine reports that the problems between the former music power couple became “irreconcilable” and were more complex than the multiple allegations of infidelity by Offset.
“Filing for divorce again wasn’t an easy decision,” the source explained to the magazine. Cardi feels “he just doesn’t support her like a husband should.”
“She has two kids already, is pregnant and is also a working mom. She’d love to have a great marriage too, but since it’s more of a distraction than support, she needs to end it,” the source said.
Though the divorce proceeding is amicable so far, the magazine reports that Cardi B will not reverse her decision to become single.
“It’s been a long time coming. It’s not just one issue. She’s matured a lot. She knows exactly what she wants her life to look like. She’s super focused on her kids and work,” they continued.
“As a mom, she expects a partner that contributes fully and that puts the family first. This just wasn’t happening. In general, he just doesn’t support her like a husband should. She needs good vibes and positive energy only in her life.”
