Waka Flocka Flame surprised fans with an unexpected performance at a recent Pokémon trading card convention, showcasing his love for the iconic franchise. Known for his high-energy music, Waka took the stage to perform his hit song “Grove St. Party” in front of a crowd of enthusiastic Pokémon trainers.

A true Pokémon fan

This isn’t the first time Waka Flocka has expressed his passion for Pokémon. In a Reddit AMA back in 2016, he shared his thoughts on what it means to be a real Pokémon trainer. He stated, “A real Pokémon trainer would never look at his level as a benchmark of accomplishments. A real trainer just wants to have the best Pokémon in the world so that one day he may have the chance of becoming a real Pokémon master.”

Memorable moments

During the Pokémon Go craze, Waka was spotted in Atlanta at a Pokémon Go gym, where he revealed he made his first $1,000 selling Pokémon cards.

He took to social media to express his nostalgia, writing, “Pokémon Go got me feeling like I’m back in middle school,” along with the hashtag #BigKidModeInFullEffect.

Waka Flocka’s recent performance at the Pokémon trading card convention not only entertained fans but also highlighted his genuine love for the Pokémon universe. His ability to connect with fans through music and gaming continues to make him a beloved figure in both the hip-hop and gaming communities.
