On the evening of August 26, firefighters responded to a call around 9:37 p.m. regarding a man who had fallen asleep on the railroad tracks. Upon arrival, they found the young man partially entangled in the train, with his hand caught in a precarious position between the wheel and axle.
Reports indicate the train was moving slowly enough to stop shortly after the incident, likely contributing to the man’s survival. However, alcohol is believed to have played a role in his decision to sleep on the tracks.
