Can Jesse Jackson, Sr. get a pardon for his son in Biden’s final days?

As President Biden’s presidential term ends, the pardon requests are rolling in. The latest person making a bid for a pardon is civil rights leader, Jesse Jackson, on behalf of his son, Jesse Jackson, Jr., and his then wife, Sandi Jackson. Jesse Jackson, Jr. pleaded guilty to $750,000 of campaign finance fraud and  Sandi Jackson, pleaded guilty to tax fraud.

As any good father would, Jackson Sr. penned the below letter to President Biden asking for their pardon, the pardon of Hunter Biden, and criminal law reform:

“In addition to your pardon consideration for my son and his former wife, I pray that, perhaps, some measure of relief and reform may result from this letter for the benefit of all citizens, and whose elected citizens who go to Washington DC to serve our country.”

Jackson letter dated same day as Hunter Biden’s pardon

The letter was dated the same day President Biden pardoned his own son, Hunter Biden, for his tax and gun crimes after repeatedly saying that he would not. In his letter, Jackson seems to hint that both him and the president’s sons were targeted by the FBI:

“… like Hunter, federal investigations begin in one place and always conclude somewhere else.”

Thus far, Biden has only granted only 25 pardons during his presidency.
