Project Nayy was one of the rappers in attendance for Tha Female Cypher Part 5, hosted by rolling out. She came to support some of her friends who were competing and judging. She was also one of the most lit people in the room, cheering and supporting other emcees while they were performing. Rolling out caught up with Project Nayy after the event to learn more about her.

What’s impressive about seeing other women perform?

I want to see everybody win. You feel me? If I can give you a resource that you don’t have, then I feel like I did something for you. Hear me? That’s all I need for sure.

Who are your female rap inspirations?

Definitely Missy Elliott, for sure. Teyana Taylor, Rihanna. Those type of girls, for sure.

Would you ever battle rap?

Battle rap? No, but I could do it if I wanted to. I know how to pop my sh-t.

Who would you describe your rap style?

Melodic, for sure. Melodic rap.

Who do you most closely resemble with your music?

Nobody. I remind me of Project Nayy.
