On July 2, Nas will join the Chicago Philharmonic to perform what many consider to be the best rap album ever created, Illmatic. The grittiness of 1990’s New York combined with the classic sounds of an orchestra will create a cultural moment that should not be missed. Fresh off the Hollywood blockbuster Wicked, Erivo will bring her golden voice to the stage on Aug. 15, with the backing of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The power of Cynthia’s voice will only be amplified with the orchestra and will surely make for an emotional evening.
