Great news, Apple iPhone lovers! Apple is said to be releasing the iPhone 5S this summer.
Apple Inc. will be releasing two new versions of its wildly popular iPhone as early as August.
One of the two new iterations is slated to be a new and improved iPhone 5S, while the other would be a budget iPhone product, a low-cost phone designed for consumers who can’t typically afford the standard iPhone. According to Japanese tech blog EMSOne, the unveiling of both will come in August.
The iPhone 5S will have the same display size as the iPhone 5, and at 7.6mm and 112 grams, will be as slim and weigh the same, as well. It will also have the same metal case as the current top-of-the-line iPhone 5, and be available in two color choices — presumably the same “black & slate” and “white & silver.”
The iPhone 5S will be sold unlocked at between $600 and $700, and with a two-year contract at $199. The as-yet-unnamed lower-cost iPhone will go for between $350 and $450 unlocked, and will be free with a two-year contract.
