Jenni Rivera, 43, beloved Mexican American singer and reality star is believed to be dead after the wreckage of her private jet was found.
Rivera’s Learjet 25 went missing early Sunday after it took off from Monterrey. It was due to arrive in Toluca, outside Mexico City, an hour away.
Nuevo Leon’s government spokesperson confirmed that the plane departed Monterrey about 3.30 a.m. after Rivera’s concert.
Spokesperson Jorge Domene said aviation authorities lost contact with the plane ten minutes later.
Rivera aka, “la diva de la banda,” was a shining star at NBCUniversal and had a hit reality show, “I Love Jenni,” on the Mun2 network.
Rivera has sold 1.2 million albums in the U.S. and was in talks with ABC to star in her own sitcom.
