NeNe Leakes had everyone talking after “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion special. She claimed that one of the housewives needed to be replaced for season six. Although Leakes refused to say which lady she had in mind, she’s now revealed that the one she wanted to send packing was soon-to-be-divorced housewife Porsha Stewart.
In a special, one-hour episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” which airs May 5, Leakes explains to host Andy Cohen that she wanted the “RHOA” freshman gone because she felt that Stewart and her husband, Kordell Stewart, weren’t being genuine.
“Yes, I did feel that Porsha, at that time needed to leave the show because there was something [off with them],” Leakes explained. “I’m a good judge of character; I’ve been blessed, child, I’ve been given a gift – and I kept feeling like Porsha and Kordell were not being real enough.”
However, Leakes may have changed her mind about Stewart’s role on the show. The reunion special was taped a week before Kordell filed for divorce and Stewart recently told People that Leakes has been a source of support during this rough time.
“I’m definitely blessed to have a strong support system around me,” Porsha said. “NeNe, has been through a similar situation in her past. She’s telling me to take care of me right now, and that’s what I’m doing.”
We’ll just have to wait and see what happens to Stewart. We also know what happens when a new or supporting reality show cast mate doesn’t vibe well with the right “team” of cast mates – they get dropped.
