Jeffrey Tarpley blasts ex-wife Sherri Shepherd
Sherri Shepherd is under fire … again, only this time it’s her ex-husband Jeffrey Tarpley firing the shots.
According to TMZ, Tarpley “filed an emergency request in April to modify the couple’s current custody arrangement … specifically, Tarpley wants full physical custody of their son, Jeffrey Jr.”
With a nonstop work schedule, including “The View,” “The Newlywed Game,” and a wide range of other TV acting roles, book tours and films, Tarpley claims that Shepherd has completely neglected their son.
“Sherri regularly leaves their son with “unskilled nannies” … as a result, he’s falling way behind in school, suffers from low self-esteem, and has to use Velcro shoes because he can’t tie laces.” Tarpley tells TMZ.
But the claims don’t stop there. As if completely neglecting their 8-year-old son wasn’t enough, Tarpley claims that Jeffrey Jr., hasn’t been taught how to properly care for himself and hygiene has become a major issue.
As you can imagine, all of these allegations did not sit well with Shepherd, who filed her own documents in response, claiming that Tarpley is an absentee father who hasn’t earned a place in their son’s life.
Luckily for Shepherd, the judge denied Tarpley’s emergency request. The couple will however have to face their claims in family court in July. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
