Bobby Brown and his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, are said to have had a tumultuous relationship, but they’re apparently putting their problems aside in light of the death of Whitney Houston. According to an eyewitness, Bobby and Bobbi were spotted at New York’s Blue Fin restaurant in the heart of Times Square this week, US Weekly reports. Brown, 43, and his 19-year-old daughter were also said to be joined by his wife, Alicia Etheridge, and three other unidentified individuals. During their reported dinner date, the teen was said to be “on her phone and texting a crazy amount. She didn’t seem too thrilled to be there, in all honesty,” a witness noted.
In the months leading up to their reunion, reports surfaced that Bobbi Kristina would drop her father’s last name and take on her mother’s, not only to pay tribute, but to distance herself from her dad. Immediately after her 48-year-old mother’s death, Bobbi Kris was said to have fallen ill and checked into a hospital briefly for treatment. Following that however, the young woman seemed calm in an interview with Oprah Winfrey where she described still feeling her mother’s presence. Despite her calm demeanor, Bobbi Kristina is said to be coping in another way; in the arms of Nick Gordon, whom Houston informally adopted when he was just 12 years old. The two are said to be “living like a couple” in Atlanta. The teen’s famous father seems to be dealing with the loss in his own way, he was recently cited for driving under the influence.
