A new Eminem tracked called “Vegas” hit the Web this week. Reportedly, the song is from Em’s forthcoming album, Shady XV. But what’s getting the most attention is a line where Em threatens to sexually assault rapper Iggy Azalea.
“So swallow my pride, you’re lucky just to follow my ride / If I let you run alongside the Humvee / Unless you’re Nicki, grab you by the wrist, let’s ski / So what’s it gon’ be / Put that s— away, Iggy / You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me,” Eminem raps on the track.
Em generated controversy just last week after he rapped about assaulting Lana Del Rey.
Iggy responded to Em’s line in “Vegas” with a few tweets about “old men” attacking her, (a not-so-thinly veiled reference to the infamous Snoop Dogg feud she was embroiled in last month) and calling out misogyny against female artists.
“Im bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. zzzz” Iggy tweeted.
“It’s especially akward because my 14-year-old brother is the biggest Eminem fan and now the artist he admired says he wants to rape me. nice!” she continued. “Women in music have the bigger b-lls anyhow we endure much more harassment and critic. good morninnggggg!!!!!! off to camera block for AMAs!”
