Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame have been associates for a long time, but their working relationship has had its fair share of bumps. Apparently, the duo hit another major one recently, because Gucci hopped on Twitter to blast his former protege and claimed that Waka has been dropped from his Brick Squad label.
“Waka flacka flames officially dropped off brick squad 1017. Big Guwop say give me a offer fa this disloyal lil n—a,” Gucci tweeted.
It is unclear what exactly sparked this latest beef, but there are some rumors floating around that actress/singer Selena Gomez is somehow involved. Gucci was rumored to have been getting close to Justin Bieber’s former girlfriend while they shot the movie Spring Breakers last year, and according to COMPLEX, there are sources claiming that Waka also had his eyes on Ms. Gomez.
Of course, who knows how true any of that is.
For his part, Waka didn’t go back-and-forth with Gucci via Twitter. He did take note of his former friend’s diss, and subsequently RTed fan commentary about the spat.
“Can’t tweet beef #HucciKnowHowIrOck,” he tweeted; then he re-tweeted, “@Money_Ova_Men: So these n—as @WakaFlockaBSM and @Gucci1017 having a “I HATE YOU B—H” moment… Lol!” LoL”
“@NatureBoy_Jones: @WakaFlockaBSM you erasing twats b?” Can’t tweet jones about a n—a I’m a let a lame be lame,” he shared later.
