LL Cool J gets ‘Authentic’: The Tuesday new music rundown

LL Cool J is back.

The question is–did Uncle L kill any good will his comeback album would’ve garnered from hip-hop fans with that god-awful “Accidental Racist” track with Brad Paisley a few weeks ago? One can’t be sure–but thankfully that musical misstep isn’t on his new project.


90s rock veterans Guided By Voices also dropped a new album this week–as did the garage rock/punk forefathers, Iggy and the Stooges. So there are quite a few veterans making noise in popular music this week. A few interesting indie debuts:
