Authorities in Georgia are investigating the murder of a Migos fan who was killed earlier this month, but one of the rap group’s members has become a major roadblock in their case. Rapper Kiara Cephus is refusing to cooperate with the investigation.
Paris Brown was shot and killed outside a Quality Inn hotel on June 11. “He was just a supporter of the rap group Migos and essentially caught a stray bullet,” Cpl. Deon Washington told WSB-TV news in Atlanta.
Police want to talk to Cephus because they believe he was actually the intended target. They believe the shooting occurred because of a feud between Migos rappers and rival rap group 2G.
But according to the police, Kiara will not talk about the incident. “We know he was there; however, he would not cooperate with the police investigation,” Cpl. Deon has said.
In footage that surfaced after the incident, two men are seen on the premises carrying guns. One of the men on the surveillance tape has been identified by police as Cory Marzette, an affiliate of 2G. Police have not yet identified the second individual.
