Kansas City Chief commits murder-suicide
According to KCTV-5 Kansas City, a player for the Kansas City Chiefs is dead this morning. The news station confirms that the player killed his girlfriend at a house near 54th street and Chrysler Avenue on Saturday morning. He later drove to a Chiefs practice facility and took took his own life. That facility has since been placed on lock-down.
“We can confirm that there was an incident at Arrowhead earlier this morning,” the NFL team said in a statement this morning. “We are cooperating with authorities in their investigation.”
Update: Police now confirm that 25-year-old Jovan Belcher was the shooter. This story is still developing…
