Shortly after Boosie was released, a video clip of his young daughter Tarlaysia sharing her excitement at his release was uploaded to the rapper’s Instagram account. In the clip, Tarlaysia drops the N-word as she applauds her father’s return.

T-Pain still believes that his project with Lil Wayne can happen

Last week, singer T-Pain shared details regarding his supposed fallout with Cash Money Records and how it affected his anticipated project with label superstar Lil Wayne. Aside from Wayne’s incarceration at the time (due to a weapons conviction in New York City) and T-Pain’s own excessive lifestyle indulgences, apparently a “miscommunication” between Cash Money labelheads Birdman and Ronald “Slim” Williams and T-Pain’s own management team stalled the project.

Lil Boosie’s prison release has been unexpectedly delayed

It was widely reported in January that incarcerated rapper Lil Boosie would be released from Louisiana State Penentientary in mid-February. But music journalist Jeff Weiss posted on Twitter this weekend that Boosie, born Torrence Hatch, won’t be leaving prison as soon as was expected. According to Weiss, Boosie will not be released in February after all.

Rapper-singer Lauryn Hill has been released from prison after serving her three month sentence for failing to file tax returns. The former Fugee served her time at the federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut, a minimum security facility. Hill pleaded guilty to failing to pay taxes on more than $1.8 million earned between 2005 and 2007.
