Throughout the years, rappers have been arrested for a lot (typical) things, like drugs or guns or senseless violence, but Dipset emcee Juelz Santana broke the mold with his most recent arrest. Reportedly, Santana was arrested last week by New Jersey police on suspicion of making terrorist threats.
According to TMZ, law enforcement officials wouldn’t reveal exactly what constituted the threats but did disclose that at the time of his arrest, Santana refused to allow law enforcement to search his vehicle, which was later impounded.
The Dipset emcee was subsequently arrested on suspicion of terrorist threats and disorderly conduct. Santana was held in custody for hours before being released on $46,500 bail.
This isn’t the first time this year that Santana has had a run-in with the law. Back in February, police raided the rapper’s New Jersey recording studio and confiscated marijuana and weapons, leading to Santana’s arrest.
At the time, Santana denied that the confiscated items were in his possession and claimed that police were simply bullying him because he’s a rapper.
“They always picking on me. That’s the best way I can put it. But by the graces of God, everything should be OK,” said Santana. –nicholas robinson
