Master P’s estranged wife, Sonya Miller, alleges that the rapper is using their children to save a buck amid their brutal court battle.
As previously reported, in October 2013, Miller filed for divorce from the rap mogul citing “irreconcilable differences,” after 24 years of marriage. Since filing, Miller has pulled out all the stops, claiming Master P is just another dead beat daddy, flexing an expensive lifestyle, while his children live off welfare. In 2014, there seemed to be some truth to Miller’s claim, after the hip hop star failed to appear at a scheduled court hearing, resulting in Miller being awarded sole custody of their four youngest children; Mercy, Hercy, Tytyana and Italy.
Meanwhile, Master P claimed that Miller’s drug use was the root behind their broken home. “The false accusations about me, means nothing. I’m going to keep doing right by my kids and people that know me personally, know my true character,” P said. “When people claim that things happen to them a long time ago and are not able to provide evidence or police reports, they are only false accusations coming from the attorney. I’ve been a celebrity for a long time, anything that I do would be news. I am praying for my ex-wife, she is being strong armed by her attorneys for money. Drugs have destroyed a lot of families but we will get over this. I have a lifetime commitment to my kids,” he said during a recent interview with AllHipHop.
Now, Miller has taken it one step further, claiming the 49-year-old is using their children to get the upper hand in court. According to TMZ, Miller claims that her estranged husband is fuming over recent court orders to fork over $27,047 a month in child and spousal support–so he’s using their kids to mislead the court. In case you missed it, the couple’s children are now residing with their father due to their mother’s alleged drug use (don’t forget that little lawsuit she slapped her own son Romeo with).
She also takes a shot at P’s parenting, saying his “decision to involve the children was selfish and not in their best interest.” Sonya’s also not buying his claim he only makes $2,441 per month. She claims his net worth was $350M within the last five years, plus he still rolls in a Rolls, TMZ reports.
