When Alexandra Shipp was recently announced to be playing the role of Aaliyah in her Lifetime biopic, she knew she had some big shoes to fill. Beating others to the punch in regard to comments about her biracial background and skin color, Shipp recently posted a photo of herself and her mother with the caption: “She’s white, she made me, get used to it!”
Shipp is no stranger to the entertainment game. The 23-year old actress is best known for playing the role of KT Rush on the show House of Anubis, playing the voice of Valentina in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, and will soon add Drumline 2 to her resume.
