When it comes to Evelyn Lozada, most people know about her high-profile issues with her ex-husband, Chad Johnson. But he’s not the only ex who’s still causing her drama. According to a new report, Lozada recently had to pay out $40,000 to end a lawsuit accusing her and her ex-fiancé, Antoine Walker, of fraud.
According to TheJasmineBrand.com, Lozada was sued by the trustee of Walker’s bankruptcy case, who accused Lozada of being sent $649,497.56 througout the years from Walker. The trustee claims that Walker was broke and was giving money to Lozada in order to defraud his creditors. Lozada, in turn, is accused of taking the money and starting up her shoe store, Dulce in Miami.
The trustee claims that Walker should have never given Lozada the money and that the money should have instead gone to pay off his massive debt. However, Lozada claimed that she was unaware of Walker’s financial problems and had no intention to help him defraud his creditors.
Court documents now show that after “extensive settlement negotiations between Lozada and the trustee, Lozada agreed to pay out $10,000 a month, $40,000 in total, to the trustee. Lozada began making payments in November 2013 and made her last payment on Feb. 1.
After Lozada finished paying off the settlement, the case was dismissed.
Hopefully, Lozada can finally be done with the drama from her past relationships and finally just focus on her upcoming marriage with Carl Crawford. – nicholas robinson
