We just can’t get enough of Jilly from Philly!
Jill Scott is taking her new album ‘The Light of the Sun,’ on the road this summer with the Jill Scott ‘Summer Block Party’ Tour. The month long festivities will begin July 28 in New York and end in Houston, TX. The Budweiser Superfest-sponsored event will also feature soul singer Anthony Hamilton and R&B veterans Mint Condition as openers, while DJ Jazzy Jeff has signed on to provide beats and Doug E. Fresh will serve as the tour’s official host reports Billboard.com. But, before our girl drops in on the big apple, lets not forget to meet her in the “dirty-dirty” at the Essence Music Festival, which takes over New Orleans’ July 1-3. Jill headlines this tour and will be joined by Mary J. Blige, Trey Songz and the Louis Vuitton Interrupting Don himself, Kanye West! If I were you wouldn’t miss it for the world!
