What has been the most memorable moment in your career so far?
I can’t stop at just one moment. That would take hours, but making 18 years in business, it’s like being a teenager who thinks you finally made it. You look like an adult, but, under the surface, you have only just begun. When I reached 20,000 employees placed was a memorable moment. I think my best moments are when my employees see the vision, and the light bulb hit 100 watts. That makes me proud.
What advice can you share?
Don’t try to be an expert at everything. Just do what you do best. Focus, focus, focus, and don’t start something you can’t finish. Remember that owning a company is a job, and don’t let anyone tell you different. Always keep God, family and work in that order, and you will not be disappointed, no matter the outcome.
What projects are you currently working on that our readers should know about?
I will be participating in a host of national speaking engagements as well as hosting the “Teacher Summit” on July 15 in Houston so that we can get our teachers back to work. Dean’s Professional Services will also be providing complementary seminars for our clients called “sack lunch seminars.”
