Hip-hop’s blonde bombshell, Amber Rose, is no stranger to a bit of PDA when it comes to her love life, but the curvy model became more than a little overexposed over the summer when nude photos of her were leaked online. Though Rose has publicly declared her disgust as well as her financial consequences over the leak, her famous boyfriend, rapper Wiz Khalifa, is now weighing in on the photos.
According to MTV’s “RapFix,” in a recent interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Khalifa, remaining loyal to Rose, defended her much-maligned reputation and even addressed her past as a stripper.
“I could see if that was what she was doing while I’m with her or something like that and it was in a disrespectful way, but it’s nothing like that. It’s not even, like, the pictures or her past is a raunchy past,” said Khalifa, adding. “She did what she had to do. There’s plenty of powerful women who overcame that, and that’s what she really is, an example of [how] work and faith in God … can get you into a positive situation. You can make a positive out of a negative.”
Khalifa, who is working on new music with Rose, also addressed rampant critiques that she is solely out to seek attention and fame, saying that his bodacious beauty is really just a “shy” girl at heart.
“The biggest misconception about Amber is that she wants attention,” said Khalifa. “Everybody thinks that she does stuff for attention and that she loves attention, but she’s really, really reserved and shy. She just gets attention ’cause she’s dope.”
