Janet says her four rules for healthy living are pretty simple:
- sleep more
- eat less (watch portions)
- eat better (no junk food) and,
- eat more frequently.
Miss Jackson’s nutritionist put her on a regimen that had her eating more often–that’s right, sometimes more really is less.
To lose the reported 60 pounds she recently shed, Janet ate 5 to 6 small meals per day.
Known for her addiction to comfort foods and high calorie drinks, Janet traded fatty foods for fresh produce and lean protein. She also had meals delivered to her home from Fresh Dining delivery service.
She also eliminated all processed foods when she began her weight loss diet and delivery plan–avoiding foods with white flour, sugars, chemicals or additives, and replacing them with organic or natural products.
Janet says while she’s on tour, if she’s eating out with fellow dancers she chooses healthy options like sashimi and skips Southern comfort foods–and she avoids alcoholic beverages, opting for water instead.
