To hear Common tell it, one of the most influential romantic relationships he’s had in his life was the one with fellow vegetarian and song artist Erykah Badu.

Though she broke his heart back in the day, he credits her for turning him on to the vegetarian lifestyle he still lives by.

Common was in the running for PETA’s “world’s sexiest vegetarian” back in 2007. He was up against the likes of Ruben Studdard, Persia White, Mos Def, Prodigy and Forest Whitaker.  They all lost out to the final black celeb vegetarian on our list…
