'The Ladies of R&B' to Premiere on TV One, 5 Singers Who Could Have Made the Cast

TV One is preparing to take a viewers inside the lives of five R&B singers. As previously reported, TV One announced the new series alongside The Rickey Smiley Show and a Bernie Mac tribute.

“The Ladies of R&B” will include  Faith Evans, Keke Wyatt, Nicci Gilbert formerly of the group Brownstone, Monifah Carter and Syleena Johnson.

The ladies will give viewers an inside look into their lives including that of Evans, the former wife of The Notorious B.I.G. who was previously arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, and Wyatt who made headlines for stabbing her husband after years of emotional and physical abuse.

According to a press release, the show will “follow the women solo, together and in different combinations as they not only fight to get their lives on track but also to pay their good fortune forward.”

While the show sounds entertaining, if TV One wanted to extend the cast to 10, we’ve offered some suggestions on which ladies they should consider.

Check it out below.
